Am Himmel Life Tree Circle is a special place at the summit of Am Himmel, next to the Am Himmel forest playground and the Cafe Restaurant Oktogon am Himmel. It´s a circle of 40 trees, 36 of which are planted around the perimeter and 4 in the center. The trees represent the passing of time and the four seasons of the year. The Life Tree Circle reflects the mystic belief that trees have qualities similar to the zodiac signs. Visitors have to look for their own life tree, based on their date of birth, which will tell them its story, which is also their story. Small loudspeakers are triggered by sensors. During weekends in the summer, they deliver classical music and jazz. We recommend combining the visit to the Life Tree Circle with a visit to the Landgut Cobenzl Children´s Farm. The Cafe Restaurant Oktogon am Himmel and the Am Himmel forest playground are obvious choices for a light lunch and playtime, but if looking for an alternative, we recommend the Gspöttgraben Caritas Am Himmel Playground – it’s little known, but worth it, and sweet dishes at the cozy Häuserl Am Himmel.
