Learn more about all the highlights and news. The history of architecture in Austria in the 20th to the present day of the 21st century will also be critically examined and discussed. The exhibitions change regularly, providing you with insights into various topics of modern architecture. The AzW Architekturzentrum Wien is part of the Museumsquartier and, thanks to its extremely central location, can be perfectly combined with visits to the ZOOM Kindermuseum, the Naturhistorischen Museum, the Kunsthistorischen Museum and the extraordinary Schmetterlingshaus.
For kids and families: Archikids are monthly workshops for children interested in architecture. Family programmes for children, youth and parents are held on topics like architecture and urban planning. They are composed of an interactive exhibition tour Comboned with building and working in the workshop space. Participants can get hands-on and build their own city, bridge or building using different materials. Vienna City architecture excursions are available as well. These dialogue-based tours of Vienna are designed for children and youth and are supplemented with the appropriate materials and plans. Special programmes, plays and workshops are offered during most holidays and themed kids’ birthday parties are held year-round.
