This is the oldest alpine garden in Europe. The Alpengarten is part of the Belvedere and worth a separate visit. Where else could you find all those alpine plants, like gentian, edelweiss or alpine rose, growing in the middle of the city in a wonderful garden reminiscent of Japanese gardens? However, it should be noted that the Alpengarten is accessible only during the main flowering period between March and August. At this time you can admire the extremely valuable alpine plant collection of the Bundesgärten in an impressive and idyllic atmosphere. Your children will love it!
For kids and families: Free admission for children and youth under 19.
