Where and how does cocoa grow? How is chocolate made? Is it really healthy or not? These and many other questions will be answered when you visit the Chocolate Museum Vienna in Prater. It is a highly-interactive, specialty museum designed specifically for families, children and school classes. Through the use of interactive games and stations, children and adults can experience the world of chocolate with all of their senses and get to know its different areas: chocolate history, geography, biology, art and production, nutritional value, and more. The highlights of the Chocolate Museum Vienna Prater are the free tasting of daily, freshly-prepared cocoa beans and different kinds of chocolate; and part of every museum tour is the Cocoa Jungle, which children and adults can enter to explore how cocoa grows. The chocolate workshops are highly-popular for both public and private groups, where visitors can make three unique chocolate bars of 100g each and garnish them with various decorations like a proper chocolatier. Note: These are not chocolate-making workshops, as you will work with ready-made chocolate. For this reason, they are suitable for both youth (starting at age 5) and adults. Kids’ birthday parties are also possible! Our tip – Combone the visit to the Chocolate Museum Vienna Prater with a stroll in the Green Prater Park to burn those extra calories or take a ride on the Vienna Giant Ferris Wheel in the Prater Amusement Park! There will be plenty of time during the guided tours to answer all your chocolate questions.
