Cobenzl Forest Playground is a small playground on a large meadow at the peak of the Cobenzl Hill in Döbling, Vienna´s 19th district. To find it, you must walk from the Cobenzl parking (where bus 38 has a stop) to the restaurant Waldgrill am Cobenzl and the Landgut Cobenzl farm. If you continue walking in the direction of the forest edge, you will quickly arrive at the Dr. Karl Lueger Memorial. Where the road turns slightly uphill and to the left, after about 200 m., you will reach the Cobenzl Forest Playground. It features swings, a climbing facility with a slide, a sandpit, a meadow ball sports area, and a nice view of the meadow. Unlike many other places at Cobenzl and the nearby Am Himmel, not much happens on Cobenzl Wiese, making it the perfect place for a picnic in green, even for larger parties, and a welcome alternative to the popular group picnic destinations, like Steinhofgründe and Donauinsel. Remember that many people confuse the Cobenzl Forest Playground with the more popular and far better-equipped playground, Am Himmel. When they say Cobenzl Forest Playground, they actually mean the one with the large climbing area and forest organ on the beforementioned hill, Am Himmel.
