If so, then the Danube Tower (Donauturm) is just right for you! It’s an observation tower in the middle of Donaupark, which provides it with an excellent vantage point. It can be climbed by using one of the two fast lifts; or, for the clearly sporty person, the stairs. At the top, you will be rewarded with an excellent view of Vienna, as well as two nearby restaurants (the luxurious Turmrestaurant at 170m and the simpler Turmcafe at 160m). Enjoy a meal with your family while revolving and take pleasure in the panoramic view while relaxing comfortably – it’s truly an extraordinary experience!
For kids and families: The Danube Tower (Donauturm), at 252 meters, is the tallest building in Austria and provides a great experience for both adults and children. Enjoy the spectacular view of the city and Vienna forest from the 170-meter high revolving viewing platform. Have a cake at the simple Turmcafe or a luxurious dinner or brunch at their Turmrestaurant. A ride by one of the two high-speed elevators will take you up in just 35 seconds. It is a great experience for both kids and adults alike. Youth and adult birthday parties can be booked here. Wheelchairs can be taken by lift to the viewing platform, but not to the cafe or restaurant as these are accessible only via the stairs. School and kindergarten groups are welcome! Donauturm is definitely one of the great excursion and weekend trips for the whole family to enjoy on nice, uncloudy days!
