Gänsehäufel High Ropes Climbing Garden is an adventure park for adults and children. It’s also Vienna´s first climbing garden. You will find it in Gänsehäufel, the huge summer swimming pool resort on the Old Danube in Vienna´s 22nd district of Donaustadt. It´s guaranteed fun and adventure for any age, but please note that the minimum height for kids to be admitted to the climbing parkours is 110cm.
The Gänsehäufel High Ropes Climbing Garden boasts 79 platforms up to 8m. high, 10 parkours of over 1,500m. with different levels of difficulty, 26 Flying Foxes, a Giant Swing, Slackline-Parkours, a highline and a boulder wall. The parkours are marked by different colours and are progressively difficult. Children can climb different parkours depending on their age, height and level of skill and ability. The easiest, the yellow parkour, can be climbed by kids under 8 years, but only when accompanied by a parent, while the light blue, blue and grey parkours can accommodate children under 10 years, who also need to be accompanied by a parent. All kids and beginners should try at least one of the three yellow parkours first to get used to the safety system, before trying the more difficult parkours. Although the yellow parkours are situated quite close to the ground, the elements shouldn’t be underestimated. It takes about 30 minutes to complete a yellow parkour.
The blue parkours are not too technically-difficult, but they are situated 3-4m. above the ground and will require both you and your children to get used to the height step-by-step. Each parkour ends with a flying fox (quite fast!), a highlight for most kids!
Gänsehäufel High Ropes Climbing Garden is found in the area of Gänsehäufelbad, but the entrance fees for bathing and swimming are not included in the entrance ticket to the Adventure park and vice versa. You will need a separate ticket for each. The good news is that you do not need to buy a ticket for the swimming pool if you only want to spend time at the adventure park.
Included in the ticket to the Gänsehäufel High Ropes Climbing Garden are also 5 Slackline parkours and 2 boulder walls, while excluded are the Gänsehäufel Vienna Pump Track, the bodyslide and skimboard, as well as the Giant Swing for kids ages 14+ and the Outdoor Escape Room. Visitors of the Adventure park receive a reduced admission fee to all the attractions/modules in Gänsehäufelbad bath.
