Großenzersdorfer Wiese is an expansive meadow with an original forest playground in Prater Park in Leopoldstadt, Vienna´s 2nd district. Many people call it the Lusthaus Playground, since it´s located next to the famous traditional Viennese destination restaurant. You will find some unique playground equipment such as a tire carousel, a flying fox carousel, a water playground with a sand-and-mud area, and a forest sound organ, just to name some of the less common facilities. But of course, your usual playground equipment such as swings, a swinging nest, a simple somewhat dated slide, a sandpit, with swinging animals all waiting for your kids, too. The Lusthaus Playground is a perfect place to finish your long walk through Prater Park, since it´s literally located at the end of the Prater Hauptallee. Make a stop here when hiking along the City Hiking Trail 9 – Prater. Also, the Großenzersdorfer Wiese is the go-to-playground for families arriving at the beautiful Altes Jägerhaus or the imperial heritage restaurant Lusthaus, for lunch.
