Hamerling Park is a small, square-shaped park with a surprisingly expansive playground in Vienna´s 8th district Josefstadt. Kids of all ages will enjoy the fancy pieces of playground equipment like the giant steep slide and climbing installation and quirky spider net. More common playground features for little kids include simple slides, multiple swings, a seesaw, a sandpit, and even swinging nets, at the Hamerling Park playground as well. Around the corner from the Hamerling Park, you will find the Indoor Jojo – an indoor playground run by the District of Josefstadt for children ages 0-10 years. The Hamerling Park is located close to the beautiful Schönborn Park, which features another three playgrounds and multiple ball courts, and the Austrian Museum of Folk Life and Folk Art (Volkskundemuseum) directly in the adjacent Schönborn Palais. A short walk away is the District Museum Josefstadt, where popular Klassik Cool! Children´s Concerts take place, and the Vienna City Hall with the Vienna City Hall – City Information office is also nearby.
