Best of all, it appeals to both children and adults, tourists and locals alike! It Departs from the end station of tram D next to Nussdorfer Platz, Beethovengang and Eroicagasse (just where the city hiking Route 1 starts). It will take you from Nußdorf to the lovely and popular wine village of Grinzing and parade you through the famous Viennese vineyards up to Kahlenberg. From there, you can see all of Vienna and take an easy walk in the Vienna Woods up to the Stefaniewarte viewing tower or to the Leopoldsberg, both of which offer another chance to admire the city panorama from above. On Kahlenberg, you can visit the Kahlenberger Church or unwind on the Elisabethwiese. Walk down the hill through the vineyards and the Vienna Woods or take the bus 38 directly from Kahlenberg, Elisabethwiese or Leopoldsberg, to come back to Nußdorf or Grinzing where numerous traditional Heurigen wine restaurants are awaiting you (and your children, too)!
