Hirschstetten Flower Gardens – 60.000m² nature experience for the whole family.
Would you like to discover nature together with your family in a playful way? Maybe also observe a few animals and experience some toller? Then read on for sure…
Located north of the Danube in the 22nd district, the Hirschstetten Flower Gardens offer numerous attractions that are a truly great experience, especially for children. Divided into different themed gardens, you can observe nature from its most beautiful side in a playful and interesting way.
A particularly spectacular highlight is the Palm House, where you can walk through three different climate zones and observe impressive and exotic plants. The local zoo also invites you to observe endangered species in their natural habitat and is therefore another highlight when visiting the Hirschstetten Flower Gardens. A wonderful opportunity to bring your children closer to nature in the middle of Vienna and to simply relax!
Highlights for kids and families: Palm House, thematic flower gardens, zoo, lake with a small beach, and sunbeds. Plenty of kid and family events throughout the year. Hirschstetten Flower Gardens – Insect Playground is one of the top playgrounds in Vienna. In winter, the Hirschstetten Flower Gardens Christmas Market is really popular with families, since it’s one of the most kid-friendly Christmas markets in Vienna, offering creative workshops, ginger-bread and cookie-baking, concerts, and many more attractions, such as pony-riding and carousels. However, except for the Christmas market, the Hirschstetten Flower Gardens are closed to the public in winter; the only part to remain publicly open is the Palm House. In summer, from March through October, both the Hirschstetten Flower Gardens and the Insect Playground are open to the public from Tuesday through Sunday and remain closed on Mondays.
