Josef Strauss Park is a recently renovated medium-sized neighborhood playground hidden between residential buildings just off the Lerchenfeldstraße. It’s located in Neubau, Vienna’s 7th district. The playground was restored in summer 2019 (new photos coming soon). Josef Strauss Park features a giant climbing installation, a sand pit, a slide, swings, a smaller climbing facility, a nest, and other equipment. There’s also a good choice of sports facilities in Josef Strauss Park, which include not only a football pitch, table tennis, a volleyball court, and a basketball court, but also fitness equipment that parents can use for their workouts while their kids are playing.
