Kichererbse is a communal indoor playground designed for kids aged 0 to 6 years and run by the District of Neubau. It’s located in the Bandgasse 10 in the 7th district, just a stone’s throw away from its sibling communal indoor playground called Pustenblume. Both can be used by the general public everyday for free; however, they are only accessible to people in possession of the key/chip card. These can be borrowed against a deposit of 50€ per key by contacting Mrs. Matschnig of Kiebiz Kinderzentrum. Unfortunately, there´s a waiting list since the number of keys is limited. Kichererbse’s indoor playground has an area of about 80 sq. m, has been operating since 2003 and is more suitable for the littlest ones; whereas, Pusteblume is newer and somewhat bigger, open only in 2016 in an area of about 90 sq. m and offering more equipment suitable for pre-school kids. The premises can NOT be rented for kids’ birthday parties.
