L´Osteria Grinzing is a popular, family-friendly Italian restaurant in the lovely wine village of Grinzing in the 19th district. As part of the well-known L´Osteria chain, it´s famed for its giant-sized pizza but also offers Italian pasta, salads, soups and desserts. At 45cm, the pizza is big enough for two adults. It’s also great for sharing because you can request that the two halves be topped with different ingredients. Like most of the L’Osteria outlets, the L´Osteria Grinzing restaurant is kid-friendly and designed for children and families. It starts with the menu, which naturally appeals to most children because of its many items like pasta dishes. You also have the option of ordering kid-sized portions. There´s also the fun factor. Despite not having a dedicated play area, the kids get drawing materials, coloring papers, little toys, and a variety of other fun stuff to keep them entertained while waiting for the food to arrive. In addition, there´s the opportunity to watch the pizzaiolo at work since it´s an open-kitchen restaurant concept. During less-busy times, kids can even top their own pizza. High chairs and a baby changing station are provided. It´s the kid-friendly staff and attention to details, like the complimentary Haribo-minipacks that kids receive at departure, that keeps families coming back for more. The restaurant is even spacious enough to accommodate larger groups and strollers. Kids birthday parties can also be scheduled.
