Mexikopark – Kirchenpark is a vibrant yet relaxed medium-sized neighborhood playground with an exceptional atmosphere. It’s located in Leopoldstadt, Vienna’s 2nd district. Once here, you will feel like you are in a small village in Italy. A beautiful church (St. Francis of Assisi Church, how appropriate), a large square around it, kids playing football, local patrons sitting on the church’s stairs, or talking to each other on a playground. The only detail to ruin the Italian village illusion is a high traffic road passing nearby.
Nevertheless, both the park and the playground are lovely, with the playground’s highlight being a nice, curvy red slide and a ball court.
