Mexikopark – Rosenpark is a relaxed, medium-sized neighborhood playground in Leopoldstadt, Vienna’s 2nd district. The park owes its name to the beds of roses you will find here, and it’s a charming park in the summer, when all the roses are in bloom. The playground itself is quite simple, though, and for more fun, we recommend you cross the high-traffic street and visit the Mexikopark – Kirchenpark, located just in front of the beautiful St. Francis of Assisi Church. Nevertheless, the Mexikopark – Rosenpark still features some exciting pieces of equipment, such as a sand & mud playground, a flying fox, a giant slide, and a climbing installation with a plain metal slide. The slide is pretty steep, so it’s a lot of fun for bigger or braver kids. You will also find a sand pit, a slide, a swing, a seesaw, and a swing carousel. Sports facilities in Mexikopark – Rosenpark are limited; it only has a football pitch.
