Motorikpark 10 Favoriten is a sports complex in Sonnwendviertel quarter in Favoriten, Vienna´s 10th district. It´s situated in the middle of the Helmut Zilk Park, and confined on the Hauptbahnhof (Vienna´s Main Train Station). The Motorikpark 10 Favoriten is Vienna´s second activity-and-movement playground, a smaller brother to the original Motorikpark 22 Donaustadt. Kids and adults can test and improve their capabilities, like coordination, power, balance, acrobatic skills, and stamina, on more than 10 training stations spread over 1,400 sq.m. You will find a hurdle parcourse with a labyrinth plate, a wobbling plate, a balancing parcourse, a balancing hexagon, a wasserski wall, a spider net climbing paradise, a giant stand-and-swing-rope and more.
Next to the Motorikpark 10 Favoriten, but still in the Helmut Zilk Park, is an attractive but small playground that boasts several interesting playground facilities like the giant climbing tower with a cool giant curvy toboggan slide as well as a water playground. There´s also a dog area and several dog stations in the park. The only downside of the Motorikpark 10 Favoriten and the entire Helmut Zilk Park is that there are nearly no shadows since the trees are still so small. If you get hungry, the easiest option is the ParkCafe Der Mann, located directly in the Helmut Zilk Park. It is barrier-free and features a nice terrace, small but nice indoor playground, public toilet, and baby-changing station. You can even borrow a picnic hamper and blanket! Just opposite the Helmut Zilk Park is the ultra-modern Hotel Schani where you will find a nice designer Cafe Hotel Schani. The Urban´s Lounge Restaurant, a nearby kid-family restaurant, offers kids’ favorites like pizza and pasta. The Motorikpark 10 Favoriten is open daily from 8 a.m. until sunset (the exact closing times vary throughout the year). An added bonus? Amission is free!
