Pilotengasse Park is an exciting, medium-sized, themed neighborhood playground in Vienna’s 22nd district of Donaustadt, featuring a leitmotif that most children love: airplanes. You will find a huge and a tiny swinging airplane, an airport observation tower with a giant toboggan slide, an airport car, and even an airplane-wing-shaped climbing wall. Among its highlights, Pilotengasse Park boasts a large climbing installation and a cool, vast sand pit around the big climbing facility. It also features a slide, swings, a swinging nest, and swinging animals, as well as a football pitch and a volleyball court. All in all, Pilotengasse Park is not a destination playground that would make you go across the city, but if you are in the area, make sure to give it a try. It’s perhaps small, but trust us — kids love it!
