Planquadrat Park is a private park and playground in Vienna´s 4th district Wieden. It´s located in a courtyard of several residential houses between the Margaretenstraße, the Preßgasse, and the Mühlgasse. It´s difficult to find the easiest entrance in Margaretenstraße. The Planquadrat Park is a private park. It has an extraordinary community atmosphere and a management board composed of volunteers. The Planquadrat Park is a place where both kids and adults can relax, sit on a bench and read a nice book, come to a fest or participate in one of the activities taking place, like yoga or tai chi lessons. Children can play at the lovely community-curated playground. Making new friends comes quite natural here. Entry into the Planquadrat Park is free to the public, but a small fee allows you to become a member and receive the chance to actively participate in the creation and management of the park. Are you aware of any other park in Vienna where you can co-decide which plants to plant and then plant them with your own hands, possibly together with your kids and other friends? During the week, Planquadrat Park is calm in the mornings and full of children and families in the afternoons. The playground itself is ideal for toddlers and younger kids for featuring mostly little-kids-playground-equipment like swinging animals, swings, a slide, a vast shattered sandpit, an exciting medium-difficulty climbing installation. It also boasts big wooden cars that are popular with little children. But the highlight for many is the artificial tunnel that connects two parts of the playground and an equally artificial small hill that kids love to use for minicars rides. Members of the Planquandrat Gartenhofverein union may also use a community space which is located in the house in the Margaretenstraße 34/2/2. The community space offers room for meetups and features a baby-changing table, a toilet, and even a small kitchenette. The Planquadrat Park is located just a short walk from the Naschmarkt, Schubert´s Place of Death, Jump Around Indoor Playground, and the Third Man Museum.
