Schubert Park is a popular, medium-sized park with several playgrounds and sports grounds in Währing, Vienna’s 18th district. The park was built on a large underground garage, and it is pretty popular since it’s located next to one of Vienna’s primary shopping streets, the Währingerstraße. But truth be told, the Schubert Park is nowhere near the beauty or play infrastructure of other parks for which the 18th district is so praised, such as the Türkenschanzpark, Pötzleinsdorfer Schlosspark, or Währinger Park. There’s a toddler area with many pieces of contemporary playground equipment, as well as a noticeably older playground with cute, animal-themed wooden play facilities. Schubert Park also features a sand pit, a slide, swings, a climbing facility, climbing bars, and swinging nests. Picnic tables, a drinking-water fountain, and a dog area are not missing either. Besides all that, you will also find a football pitch, a volleyball court, and a basketball court in the Währinger Schubert Park.
