The Scout Museum (Pfadfindermuseum) is a museum dedicated to the history and evolution of scout movement in today’s Austria and countries of the former Austro-Hungarian Empire from its beginning in the year 1909. It’s also home to the Institute of Scout History. Scout uniforms, badges, emblems, woodcraft, photos, documents, and much more can be seen here. What is a world jamboree? Who was BiPi (Lord Baden-Powell)? Which ideas came from his life in nature in Africa and India? Let us tell you the Scout story and history through the exhibits of the Pfadfindermuseum. This museum is only open two afternoons per week, but group tours can be arranged for other times on request. Special exhibitions change yearly.
