Seepark Aspern is a large park and artificially-built bathing lake in the newly-built and rapidly-growing residential area of Seestadt, in Vienna´s 22nd district. It has a quirky feel with modern and tall residential houses and office buildings. There are construction machines everywhere and a crystal-clean blue Seepark Aspern bathing lake, with its original wild vegetation, in the middle. The artificially-created lake is surrounded by original plants and trees, reminiscent of the amazing wild flora of the nearby Donau Auen National Park. The entire area is newly-built but super-popular with families, especially the bathing lake and many play areas of the Seepark Aspern Playground. The bathing lake is very family-friendly and boasts a large beach with easy access to the water that´s great for kids. There are also many facilities for older kids and teens, especially popular are slacklines and a cool skatepark. The lake and the Seepark Aspern Playground are located on a favorite Vienna cycling route, making them the perfect place for a family cycling tour break. Please be aware that cycling, with the exception of kids bikes, is not allowed either on the Seepark Aspern Playground or in the area around the lake. Getting here from any part of the city is easy because both the lake and the playground are located immediately within the vicinity of the U2 metro station of Seestadt.
