Universitätsbräu is a traditional beer restaurant with a large, beautiful beer garden. It’s located on the campus of the University of Vienna, previously used by the General Hospital. You´ll find Austrian classics and international specialties, as well as tasty dishes from the lava grill and pan. Special kids´ dishes are also served, as well as some traditional Austrian sweet dishes. A basic kids´ infrastructure, like a baby changing station and high chairs, are provided. Next to the fenced beer garden of the Universitätsbräu restaurant is the lovely Playground Altes AKH (Former General Hospital). This means parents of kids that are already self-sufficient at playing can happily enjoy the Universitätsbräu, i.e. a home-brewed specialty beer, or a glass of delicious Viennese wine, and all while keeping a watchful eye on their playing kids.
