Venediger Au Park is an extraordinary, huge adventure playground that will quite possibly exceed your expectations. It’s located in Leopoldstadt, Vienna’s 2nd district. Surprisingly enough, the playground is very little known by Viennese (except for those living nearby), most likely because it’s in close vicinity to the notoriously known and beloved Prater Park, with all its cool playgrounds and expansive meadows. Having said so, you should absolutely give it a try one day, since the Venediger Au Playground simply has it all. The giant slide is one of the longest in Vienna; we bet it’s Number 2 right after the unbeatable giant slide at Prater – Jesuitenwiese (Ranch Playground). The climbing installations are aplenty, and each of them is challenging in a different way. The rope course as well as the flying fox are among the coolest in town. There’s quite a lot of shade under the trees, and you even have a perfect view of the Vienna Giant Ferris Wheel. Venediger Au Park also boasts a water playground with a sand & mud playground, play water fountain, balancing equipment, and obviously also the most common facilities, such as a sand pit, swings, a seesaw, picnic tables, drinking-water fountain.
