Votiv Park is a charming, central, small-city park with a little playground. It’s located in Alsergrund, Vienna’s 9th district, next to the Votive Church and just opposite a favorite chillout park, the Sigmund Freud Park. The playground might be tiny in terms of size, but it’s great in terms of the fun kids have here in summer. That’s because it boasts a lovely water playground. You will also find a sand pit, a slide, swings, a seesaw, a climbing facility, and table tennis here. To us, it’s really surprising how peaceful the park usually is, especially considering its location between several high traffic roads and next to what is one of the most visited churches in Vienna. Having said so, the Votiv Park is a safe bet when you are looking for a nice picnic location with picnic tables, a drinking-water fountain, and a high fun factor close to the Schottentor area of the Ringstrasse.
