The Häuserl am Stoan is a highly-popular restaurant situated on the City Hiking Trail 2 – Hermannskogel. It features traditional Austrian cuisine, regional specialties, tasteful homemade dishes and a delicious daily choice of homemade sweet dishes like Palatschinken (Austrian crepes), Topfenknödel (sweet cheese dumplings) and more. Its idyllic location in the middle of the Vienna Woods offers a truly spectacular view of Vienna, beautiful panoramic summer garden, and a romantic atmosphere. The Häuserl am Stoan is popular with both random hikers and repeat visitors arriving by car. There´s a small, somewhat older playground, located under the guest garden seating area so parents of bigger kids can enjoy a glass of wine whilst their kids play. While the inside features no playground or kids corner, it appeals to kids because of the soft toys placed throughout, though these are not meant to be used for playing, just as decoration. High chairs and a baby-changing table are also provided. The Häuserl am Stoan is a fabulous place to stop when hiking with your kids in the Vienna Woods or heading from Sievering to the Hermannskogel, the Jägerwiese, the Kahlenberg, the Am Himmel or the Cobenzl, or the other way around. A barrier-free entrance is available at the rear.
