Knight´s Castle Playground (Ritterburgspielplatz) is one of the most exciting playgrounds at Kurpark Oberlaa, especially for bigger kids, and hands down one of the top playgrounds in Vienna. Not only it boasts a fantastic location in the middle of the wonderful Kurpark Oberlaa gardens, but it offers some extraordinary facilities as well. It´s even difficult to say what´s the highlight of the playground since there are several of them. Starting with the Hovering bird that kids can climb and swing in which is truly unique – in Vienna, you will find something similar at Labyrinthikon playground at the Schönbrunn – Maze & Labyrinth, however, there you will have to pay the entrance fee. Then there are several truly great giant climbing installations with some challenging courses, spider nets, giant slides, and climbing ropes, as well as a flying fox here. The giant slides are not as big as the legendary giant slide at Prater – Jesuitenwiese (Ranch Playground), but still, they are pretty steep and not really suitable for little kids. For them, there are swings, a sandpit, standard slides, possibly even the climbing carousel, however, the Knight´s Castle Playground is not exactly the most suitable stadium for toddlers. With toddlers and little kids, you will be better off at the Universum Playground which is located almost opposite the Knight´s Castle Playground. For food and drink, choices are aplenty at the Kurpark Oberlaa, including the nearby Kurparkdiele, or the traditional Kurkonditorei Oberlaa. Very close to the Knight´s Castle playground, you will find more of fun-and-play places such as the Kurpark Oberlaa Climbing Garden which boasts one of the two biggest giant swings in Vienna, the Skatepark Kurpark Oberlaa which is also good for riding a roller, a beach volleyball court, and the popular Petting Zoo Kurpark Oberlaa.
