Lauserpause is quite possibly the best place to go with kids if you are looking for a cool indoor playground AND great coffee near the Augarten. It is a cozy and welcoming baby cafe and indoor playground located conveniently close to the entrance to Augarten in Vienna’s 2nd district. Lauserpause is composed of two play areas, one of them located on the groundfloor and the other one in the basement, and a bar area near the entrance. On the ground floor, you can find one of the highlights of the playground — a giant three-storey climbing installation with a slide, as well as a ball pit, plenty of toys, books, kids’ tables where the little ones can get creative, a kitchenette corner, and much more. The bar area with few tables is located just next to the play area so parents can enjoy their coffee, glass of wine, homemade cake, or a toast while kids are safely playing within eyesight. Free WiFi is also available. In the basement, a giant fairy tale castle with a slide is the main attraction. Little girls also love the many costumes and dresses they can try here. In the basement area, you can find more coffee tables with stylish, comfortable seating, e.g., both coaches and chairs. Entrance fee for children covers juice and a healthy snack (for instance, a fruit plate and some crackers). Adults do not pay an admission fee, just payment for their actual consumption. Lauserpause is also one of the few baby cafes in Vienna that are open and enjoyable to visit even on hot summer days, as it’s air conditioned inside, and there’s a small guest garden outside on the street.
