Liechtenstein Park is a magnificent garden and park around one of the most astonishing palaces in Vienna, the Liechtenstein Garden Palace. It´s situated in Alsergrund, in Vienna´s 9th district. Built in the 18th century for the princely family of Liechtenstein, it was one of the most beautiful baroque gardens in Vienna. Most of the vases and statues were sold and the garden has been transformed into a landscape garden. Today, Liechtenstein Park is a private park that’s partially open to the public. The gardens are the perfect place for walking (with or without a pram), relaxing and admiring the flowers and pretty little lake; and a freely-accessible playground is located nearby. Liechtenstein Park includes two barrier-free entrances – one in the Alsergrundstrasse and one in the Furstengasse.
