Pirates’ Playground at Liesingbach is a lovely, medium-sized forest playground in Oberlaa in Vienna’s 10th district. As the name suggests, it’s located by the Liesingbach River. The little river is surrounded by a narrow strip of forest, which makes it a perfect hiking destination. A small part of the City Hiking Trail 7 – Laaer Berg passes by here as well. Since the playground is a pirate-themed one, you will find pirate boats, a tiny Robinson island, and even a parrot-shaped swinging animal here. Pirates’ Playground at Liesingbach also boasts a water playground, a sand & mud playground, and a giant climbing installation. Other playground facilities include a sand pit, a slide, swings, a seesaw, picnic tables, a drinking-water fountain, and a play water fountain.
