Did you know that you and your kids could experience a Vienna Airport run up close? The airport has an exciting offer for families and visitors alike – the guided tours of the airport by a special airport tour bus. Several thematic tours with special highlights are on programme:
The Classic Tour of the airport will make you understand the daily operations at the Vienna Airport and allow you to watch take-offs and landings at close range.
The Fire Brigade tour will take you through one of the most modern fire stations in Austria and let you learn more about the special tasks of the airport fire brigade on site. You will get the chance to experience up to 1000 fire brigade´s vehicles and learn why they have a mobile operations center and even a boat at the airport.
The A380 Tour A380 is a premium tour that allows you to experience the largest passenger aircraft in the world, including the Business and First Classes from One Thousand and One Nights.
The Follow-Me Tour is a special kid’s tour guided by “Follow me” – a competent, knowledgeable, able-bodied, witty, and somewhat naughty employee which appeals to children a lot. He will let them experience the world of the airport in a different and fun way and let them understand how the airport works, what professions work there and how the daily operations look like.
Classic tours take place daily, departing from Visitors World at Vienna Airport terminal several times a day (except Sunday). Visitors are asked to arrive at the Visitors World Terminal 30 minutes before departure. Special themed tours only take place on certain days (these are published on the website) and can be booked online.
Guided tours can be booked separately, or as part of the Visitors World combo ticket which also grants access to the VISITAIR Visitor Terrace at Vienna Airport and the Experience Space at Vienna Airport. Booking is possibly online, or directly in the Visitors World at Vienna Airport centre. The length of the tours vary, usually between 90 and 120 minutes. It´s necessary to bring an ID card.
