Café Nola is one of the best baby cafés in Vienna, though possibly not as widely known as some other baby cafés. Perhaps because it´s located a bit outside the centre, in the 11th district of Simmering, close to the metro station Enkplatz which makes it super easy to reach by public transport. It´s situated on a square nested among big residential apartment houses, next to the kid-friendly JUFA Hotel. The café is very small, only comprising around 10 tables; however, it´s cozy and – here comes the best part – boasts a nice indoor playground, as well as a small guest garden directly on the square. The square is a pedestrian zone so, on good weather days, kids can run around freely. The Café also features a surprisingly huge stroller parking area.
The indoor playground in Café Nola is very colourful. It´s small, but well-equipped, featuring a baby slide, a ball pit, and plenty of toys. It´s suitable for toddlers and little kids, though not too exciting for bigger kids. Something else that distinguishes Café Nola from other baby cafes is the excellent niveau of the café. They offer a vast selection of coffee specialties, homemade cakes, open sandwiches and quick snacks – in fact, you could happily come even without kids just to enjoy the coffee or another drink. The indoor playground is free, provided you have a minimal consumption at the Café; otherwise there´s a small fee. The Café Nola is also popular for kids’ birthday parties.
