Das bunte Wohnzimmer is a cozy stylish babycafe run by art therapist Michaela Wistawel and located in the premises of her Atelier Wistawel in Vienna’s 5th district Margareten. The Babycafe only takes place once a week, currently on Tuesdays, except for summer months and is suitable for babies, toddlers and little kids up to about 4 years. Besides the play and creative atelier area of about 100 sq. m there’s also a small bar here. There you can get great coffee and freshly baked cakes which you can then enjoy comfortably seated in the colourful play area nearby. Soft play mats, many pillows, soft toys make this place ideal for crawling toddlers whilst books, wooden toys, or a kitchenette appeal to somewhat bigger yet still little kids. On Fridays and weekends, the cafe atelier can be rented for creative birthday parties — also suitable for bigger children. On the remaining weekdays, they offer various arts and motor skills development courses for children (organised by Atelier Wistawel). Coming with a stroller is fine, but the stroller parking space is limited, so coming with a baby carrier instead sounds like a better option.
