Vienna’s children’s theatre is an ensemble of children and teens that play theatre — perform for schools and general public in prestigious MuTh hall in Augarten. They do also offers theatre, acting, and literature courses and workshops for children aged 6 to 15 years. Weekend workshops usually take place in autumn, are open to any interested child, and are a prerequisite to join theatre courses, which usually start in December (subject to teacher’s decision whether a child is mature, interested, and predisposed enough for the course). Most talented students can be admitted to the Wiener Kindertheatre ensemble.
