Dugu is a somewhat different indoor playground in Vienna´s 3rd district of Landstrasse. There´s a cozy playroom that aims at becoming a home from home – a place where friends, families, and even colleagues can meet, reconnect, have a chat over a coffee while children are playing. The place is designed for toddlers and children of preschool age based on the theory that less is more since it inspires children to get more creative and support them in their development. Therefore, you won´t find too many toys or attractions here, and the ones you find have been carefully selected. Focus is put on natural material, and simple, single purpose toys as opposed to overly complex and overwhelming play equipment. There´s also a small role play corner whose theme changes from time to time to keep things interesting for regular visitors. Also, there´s a small art corner where kids can draw with age appropriate materials and get creative. There are also some children books there. For parents, there are some books and magazines as well.
The Dugu is open for children and parents to play during regular play sessions – it´s advisable you always check the calendar of upcoming play sessions before coming.
Besides play sessions, there are regular Theater performances for children and interesting workshops for parents taking place at the Dugu.
