Located on the ground floor of the beautiful building of the historic Hotel Sacher Wien, this is the place where the world famous sacher torte was invented. Even though you can taste endless variations of the cake all over Vienna (and they are actually amazing!), there´s still something to the true and original version. Plus, the ambience at the Café Sacher Wien is just wonderful. Choice of Austtrian and international newspapers to read is available. Don´t be surprised by the queue in front of the café – -there are always crowds eagerly waiting to get in but don´t let yourself discourage – the queue moves usually very fast and the place is definitely worth waiting.
