Ressel Park is a great medium-sized downtown playground in one of the most central locations in Vienna. It’s located in Wieden, Vienna’s 4th district, right on the Karlsplatz, in front of the Church of St. Charles. Technically, the Ressel Park playground is composed of three smaller playgrounds that are all located on the same square next to each other, separated by walking paths. All of them are fenced, which is a big plus, considering the high number of locals and tourists that pass by. Ressel Park boasts a giant slide and a giant climbing installation, to name some of the highlights. Other playgrounds’ facilities include a wooden car, a sand pit, slides, swings, a seesaw, a smaller climbing facility, and balancing equipment. Picnic tables and drinking-water fountain are not missing either. Sports facilities in Ressel Park: football pitch, a skate park, slackline, and a basketball court.
