Dachboden Zauber is an 800 sq. m large indoor playground located on the 3rd floor of Donau Zentrum shopping mall. It is operated by family entertainer Robert Steiner, whose team pretty much understands the needs of kids of different ages. It’s designed for children aged 3 to 11 years who can be left here alone while parents do some shopping in the mall — indeed, parents are not allowed here at all, except for the chill-out waiting area in front of the registration desk. Main attraction of the playground is a giant climbing installation with a giant toboggan slide, other attractions include a walk-through dollhouse with a little slide, bioBlo bricks, books corner, giant chill-out pillows, crafts area, and various original, mostly wooden toys. Three themed party rooms can be rented for kids’ birthday parties. When visiting for the first time, you will need to present your child’s e-card. Maximum stay is limited to 3 hours; you pay for every hour after that point. Donau Zentrum loyalty card holders get a discounted rate. In summer, a large outdoor sports terrace is made available, too, where kids can play football or basketball — also as part of sports-themed birthday party. Close to the Dachboden Zauber, there’s also the Zaubergarten Donauzentrum — a smaller interactive indoor playground and a truly giant climbing toboggan slide that can be used by kids and adults for free; no animation or babysitting is available here, though.
