Mayer am Nussberg is a simple Buschenschank located in one of the most idyllic locations in Vienna – the middle of the Nussberg vineyards at the foot of the Kahlenberg hill. It´s the younger sister of the more well-known restaurant, Mayer am Pfarrplatz, which is also located in the 19th district. The Mayer am Nussberg is only open seasonally on good-weather days because there´s only a huge, outdoor seating area. It also includes a chill-out area with sunbeds and a little sandpit with toys – a big hit for families! They utilize excellent wines from their own vineyards, and their food is either homemade or comes from carefully-selected local producers. It´s your typical heurigen fare; with tasty spreads, cured meats, and cheese assortments.
