Urania Observatory – The oldest but most modern observatory in Austria.
Would you like to watch the sun, the moon, and the stars? And maybe even take a look at other planets? The observatory on the roof of the Urania in the middle of Vienna offers you and your family the opportunity to learn more about astronomy and the starry sky. Here, you and your children have the chance to dive into space through an extremely powerful telescope and discover some interesting things. The sky observations for children are offered twice a week in good weather; in case of bad weather, they are cancelled. Making a reservation is recommended, as in case of cancellation, all will be contacted.
On weekends, their special family program happens in any weather. Guided tours for children are also offered for schools, kindergartens, and private groups. Children aged 6 and over have the opportunity to celebrate their birthday at the Urania Observatory with up to 14 friends. A visit to the Urania Observatory can also be combined with a relaxing visit to the Klyo Cafe Restaurant.
