Famed for their excellent homemade patisserie and high end Viennese cuisine, the Café Central is undoubtedly one of the most famous and popular cafés in Vienna. The history of the place dates back to over 140 years. No wonder you will usually see crowds of people queueing in front of this historical café to get in – sure, it´s a must-see for many tourists but it´s actually loved by locals as well. Live piano music plays every day from 5pm on. Reservations are strongly recommended. Unfortunately, there´s no baby changing station, but high chairs are provided and the staff are reasonably kid friendly (remember you are still in a Wiener Kaffeehaus). You´ll also find a selection of Austrian and international newspapers to read – it´s likely not that relevant to parents but it´s still good to know should your baby happen to fall asleep in this amazing place.
