The Prater Liliputbahn Mini-Train is a historic panoramic miniature train running in a loop through the heart of Prater. It´s a uniquely-fun experience for the whole family. Of particular interest are the 80-year-old historic steam locomotives, in operation on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and on events, starting at noon. The train cars are open and airy, making the ride pleasant and refreshing, even on hot days. The locomotives, both steam and electric, pulling the cars are all unique.
The panoramic route takes you through the Prater Amusement Park to the wild alluvial forest of the green Prater Park to the Ernst Happel Stadium and back. The entire tour is almost 4 km long and takes about 20 minutes. You can get on and off at each station. Each train has three specially-equipped multi-purpose compartments for wheelchairs or strollers, and the staff is happy to assist you with getting on and off.
Various types of tickets are available. You can opt for a full-route ticket, a short route of up to two stations or a full-day pass. Discounts are available for the holders of the annual ticket of the Wiener Linien or the top youth ticket. If you want to enjoy your day at Prater to the fullest, you might consider a great ticket combo which includes a ride on the Vienna Giant Ferris Wheel and, optionally, a Prater Liliputbahn Mini-Train or Prater Panorama Train.
