Coccodrillo is an exclusive indoor playground in Penzing, Vienna´s 14th district. The entrance is opposite the SK Rapid stadium and Rapideum museum. It’s just a few minutes’ walk from the U4 metro station Hütteldorf. The highlight is a large adventure box, composed of a toboggan slide, net bridge, ball pit, climbing parkour, and more. There are also plenty of minicars and old-timers, plus a great Brio station with true ÖBB train models, tunnels, rails, and bridges. A small chill-out zone appeals to parents and there’s a dining area with tables and chairs, that can be used for parties. One interesting aspect of the Coccodrillo playground is the operation system, which is very unusual in Vienna. As a matter-of-rule, they are only open for fixed playdate times. Bookings must be arranged online in 3-hour, play-slot windows. The playdate schedule is not fixed and differs each month. A maximum of 15 kids, plus accompanying adults, for each play-slot is allowed, because the owners´ goal is to avoid playground overcrowding. Birthday parties are quite popular, so book early. There´s no cafe or shop inside, but a small drink station is available next to the chill-out area. One cup of coffee from the Nespresso machine and unlimited elderberry juice is included in the entrance fee, which is slightly higher, given the low number of kids that are allowed in the playground at once.
