The Imperial Apartments and the Sisi Museum, located inside of the Imperial Apartments, are among the most-visited attractions in Vienna´s Hofburg (Imperial Palace). A special children’s guided tour takes you to the Imperial Apartments, where Empress Elisabeth and Emperor Franz Joseph lived in the winter (in the summer they usually resided in Schönbrunn). Walk through the nineteen rooms, authentically and historically-furnished and decorated, to get an idea of their imperial lifestyle. You can even try on clothes, uniform jackets, caps and hats to your heart´s content and feel like a proper queen or king for a day. Children beginning at age 7 can celebrate their birthday here, too. Special guided tours are offered for schools and private children’s groups from ages 6-10.
