The Spanish Riding School offers truly impressive shows to those interested and is the world’s last riding school to teach the time-honoured art of classical riding to this day. Why not join your family in one of the numerous morning trainings? The horses are regularly trained by their riders, or you can watch the famous demonstrations where the trained horses are put into practice, which will convince you of the impressive abilities of the Lipizzaner horses and their human trainers. A visit to the Court Riding School is certainly a great experience and should not be missed during a visit to Vienna. Furthermore, they also offer exciting guided tours through the Spanish Riding School with its Winter Riding School, Summer Riding School, and the Stallburg.
For kids and families: Particularly interesting, seasonal children’s shows like “Piber Meets Vienna”, are offered in July whilst the famous white stallions enjoy their well-earned summer break. The baroque Winter Riding School of Vienna’s Imperial Palace sets the stage for a very special performance of the young, up-and-coming horse stars from the Lipizzaner Stud Piber, who are visiting Vienna and will delight the public with a playful programme. Children under 3 years of age are not allowed access to the Spanish Riding School, while children ages 3-6 receive free admission when seated on an adult´s lap.
