Cobenzl – THE excursion destination on the outskirts of Döbling. Want to experience nature and not even have to leave Vienna for it? Yes, that’s absolutely possible!
The Reisenberg, colloquially called “Am Cobenzl,” is a mountain in the 19th district of Vienna and is an ideal excursion destination for the whole family. Easy to reach by bus line 38, by car, or after a leisurely hike, you can enjoy a great view over Vienna, indulge in culinary delights at the Waldgrill am Cobenzl, visit the popular Landgut Cobenzl Children´s Farm, or simply enjoy nature.
Some playgrounds — such as Cobenzl South Playground and Cobenzl Forest Playground, kiteflying meadows, and sledding hills — also exist at Cobenzl, so your children will have fun too. The local Weingut Cobenzl is also one of the most important Viennese wineries and offers guided tours through the cellar, press house, and vineyard. Afterwards, you can of course also enjoy a glass or two of wine as a mummy and daddy!
After a short walk, you will reach the forest playground and lookout point Am Himmel, Am Himmel Life Tree Circle, and Café Restaurant Oktogon am Himmel. Cobenzl is also located on the city hiking trail 2 – Hermannskogel and is the starting point for the nature trail Cobenzl Butterfly Path.
