If so, make your way up to Mozarthaus Vienna — here, that dream will come true, and you can immerse yourself in the everyday life of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and discover how he lived; who his friends, family, and enemies were; and many other interesting details about Mozart’s life story and his works. On 6 floors — including his former Viennese private apartment, which is in top condition — you can move freely as you wish and get the most important information whispered directly into your ear by means of an audio guide. By the way, there is a special, child-friendly version of the audio guide for your children. The regular summer concerts, which take place in the summer months and at which a pianist plays concerts every Thursday, are definitely an insider secret. They provide a fabulous experience in the extraordinary Bösendorf Hall, where, by the way, various celebrations such as weddings, children’s birthdays, or Christmas parties can be held. An absolute highlight for the whole family and especially lovers of classical music!
Our tip: For all fans of Mozart between the ages of 5 and 12, there is now the opportunity to become a free member of the Mozarthaus Vienna Children’s Club. You can benefit from numerous advantages: reduced admission to all workshops and to the museum (incl. accompanying person!), birthday surprise, discounts on books and CDs from the children’s range in the Mozarthaus Vienna shop, and great offers from cooperation partners such as the House of Music – The Sound Museum or the Dom Museum Vienna!
For kids and families: Age-appropriate guided tours, kids and youth workshops (featuring Learn Mozart dances, Make Mozartkugeln chocolate sweets, Explore Mozart House, etc.), Kinderclub Mozarthaus Vienna, Museum + Concert packages for schools, private groups and kids’ birthday parties are offered.
