Weghuber Park is a nicely-cultivated park in a very strategic location, right at the MuseumsQuartier. It´s surprising that the Weghuber Park is actually relatively little known and therefore usually not very crowded; far less than you would expect in such a highly popular area. Having said that, the Weghuber Park is not a destination, but we recommend that you keep it in mind for future reference. Since the MQ MuseumsQuartier is home to numerous museums, galleries, and places of interest to families, we bet that you will find it handy one day – perhaps when visiting the ZOOM Children´s Museum, the Leopold Museum, the mumok (Museum of Modern Art Ludwig Foundation Vienna), the WienXtra Kinderinfo, the Dschungel Theater, or possibly their Dschungel Cafe. Coming to the Weghuber Park playground, it´s a shaded area perfect for summer days, boasting two climbing facilities with a relatively big slide each. Moreover, there is quite a lot for little kids, including a sand pit, various types of swings, and swinging animals.
On the other side of the park, there´s the trendy 25hours Hotel at MuseumsQuartier we can highly recommend and the 1500 Foodmakers, located directly on the ground floor of the 25hours Hotel which is great for families with children and boasts and nice guest terrace. In summer, they also operate a mobile burger restaurant Burger de Ville directly in the Weghuber Park.
