Explore the fascinating Jewish culture and history of Vienna Jews at the Jewish Museum of Vienna! Children and young people, both Jewish and not, are particularly welcome at the Jewish Museum. There´s an impressive education programme offered for kids of all ages, families, schools, kindergartens and private groups. Hands-on and creative workshops are provided and an especially-interesting guided tour on all topics of Jewish culture, fests and habits, religious rules, history, art and much more is provided! Is it kosher and halal? What are Jews allowed to eat and what is prohibited? Would a Jew buy meat from a Turkish butcher? Is driving, work or cellphone use really prohibited on Shabbat, the Jewish weekly day of rest? What is Chanukah? What was life like for the famous and common Jews living in Vienna in the past? These and many other questions will be answered on the guided tours for children and youth at the Jewish Museum. Fascinating workshops, tours and other programmes are offered for children and families every Sunday afternoon, with the exception of Austrian holidays. Birthday parties are also available. For individual visitors, we recommend buying the ticket online in advance because the combo ticket will enable you to also visit the Museum Judenplatz within four days. Entrance to both museums is free with the Vienna Pass and the Flexi Pass.
